In July 2004, I was wrongly accused of something that I neither had knowledge of nor done by people from the Traffic Enforcement Group in Camp Karingal, QC. I was also unjustly attacked and painted as a guilty person by people from a local TV network on-air and on-line 24 hours a day for seven days. My friend's family and mine suffered a lot for a long time from the humiliation and ordeals of injustice inflicted on us. We are prime example of victims of "law"enforcement and liberal journalism gone awry.
"Private citizens and public officials are slandered and convicted in the press by so-called investigative reporters
who act as prosecutor, judge, and jury. The accused has no ability to question evidence brought against him, no appeal
to an impartial tribunal, and no ability to review the accuracy of the indictment against him. ... the burden of proof
those victimized in proving press libel is so onerous that few of those victimized by the press have any option other
than to suffer in silence the loss of their reputations... But I often wondered who gave those people the right to destroy, humiliate, and damage the reputation of another
human being living at peace with them?"
