To the young & restless of today,

This happened more than 20 years ago. I was just about your age. Now, I am your uncle's or father's age.

I remember that we were working at the gym in preparation for a coming program. Was it for the school anniversary or Christmas? I am not sure now.

Anyway, one of my closest classmates then, Alejandro (or Ali), went to Divisoria with another classmate, Sonia, to buy some materials for the stage crew. When they got on the jeepney, an older man saw them together, and told them to treasure their moments with each other or something to that effect. When Ali came back to school, he related the incident to us. I thought then that the man must have thought that Ali and Sonia were intimate friends to give such an advice.

Our teachers used to tell us that memories of high school days, relative to those of college, will always be dear to our heart. They were right, at least in my case.

Today, I am telling you the same thing. Treasure the moments you share with your high school classmates. I am sure they will become some of the most heartwarming memories in your future.

Who knows? Twenty years from now, you might be telling the same things to younger people - and quoting me. =)
