My Schoolmates

Wilson Cu, creator of the UHS Batch '79 page

He was the first person to talk to me in Uno. I remember we were applying for entrance examination to the school that morning...

And what did he say to me during that memorable moment?  He asked me if I could break his bill so he could use the vending machine outside the school canteen.  8^b

Yeah, that's Wilson for you.

By the way, this photo, according to Wilson, was taken in Hawaii; so, don't entertain any suspicion about the "twin towers" in the background.

Kai Fai Lam

He was once my classmate in the afternoon class, but he left for Hong Kong before graduating.

Kai Fai was our leader in the "Seven Star Fraternity," a group we formed out of love for martial arts novels where the name originated. The group was reduced to the "Four Eccentrics" in our senior year because the other members left the school for good.

Funny. Whenever I looked at this picture, I would imagine some backward rural area. Probably because of the ancient-looking bicycle. I would say to myself: "What the heck is this guy doing in a place like that?  Hmm... Maybe he's now with the People's Liberation Army? Just look at his attire..."

The Chinese adage in the Contact Information page is what Kai Fai wrote at the back of this photo.

Today, Sept. 26, 2005, Kai Fai wrote to me - for the first time after some 28 years.  He had probably found this site and my e-mail address.  Praise the Internet.  Long live our friendship.
